Chandra Chellappan, M.D., has joined Huguley Medical Associates and will open an obstetrics and gynecology practice at Huguley Memorial Medical Center on July 18. 

A board-eligible obstetrician and gynecologist, Dr. Chellappan cares for women at all stages of life, including pregnancies and well-woman check-ups. She offers various treatment options for both medical and surgical problems including several minimally invasive procedures performed in her office.

Dr. Chellappan completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, where she served as chief resident her final year.  During her training, she also provided obstetrical and gynecological medical care for Tarrant County facilities.

She earned her medical degree from Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine, and she studied nutritional sciences at Texas A&M University.

Dr. Chellappan holds memberships in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Fort Worth Obstetrics and Gynecologic Society and the Texas Medical Association.   Last year, she served as a reporter for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Chellappan is fluent in both English and Spanish.  Her office is located at 11803 S.
