Teresa Huffman, Huguley Outpatient Therapy Coordinator, Earns Doctorate
Teresa Huffman, PT, DPT, CEAS, the outpatient therapy coordinator for the Physical Rehabilitation Center at Huguley, has earned a doctorate in physical therapy from Texas Tech University.

"Earning a doctorate signifies Teresa’s expertise, experience and commitment to professional development and achievement.  She is a leader in our organization and in the field,” says Karen Dowling, MCD, CCC-SLP, MBA, director of rehabilitation services for Huguley Memorial Medical Center.

Huffman manages the center’s outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy services, in addition to treating and evaluating physical therapy patients.  She also serves as Huguley’s center coordinator of clinical education, responsible for overseeing the therapy students who rotate through the inpatient and outpatient therapy services at Huguley.

"The additional education and training will enhance the care of our patients and allow for better collaboration between physician and therapy services.  Also, I have a broader knowledge base for supervising the students on their clinical rotations at Huguley," says Huffman.

A Crowley resident, Huffman has ten years' experience at a physical therapist.  Prior to earning her doctorate, she completed a Master of Science degree in physical therapy from Angelo State University in San Angelo.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tarleton State University in Stephenville.

Huffman is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Texas Physical Therapy Association.
