Kathy Ross, RN, assistant vice president of physician relations at Huguley Memorial Medical Center, is expanding her responsibilities to oversee the
Spirit of Women program.
The new role will have Ms. Ross reaching out to Johnson County women through entertaining educational programs. Ms. Ross says that she’ll focus on helping women become educated about their health, get access to physicians, and have fun at the same time.
“We like to call it ‘health-u-tainment,’” she says. “We’ve found that education and entertainment is a winning combination.”
Kent Tucker, Huguley’s vice president, says that Ms. Ross is “in the unique position of bringing a balance of disciplines to the role. Her clinical background, along with her marketing and physician relations experience all contribute to her suitability for the job.”
Ms. Ross holds a bachelor of science in nursing from Loma Linda University, and a master’s in health administration from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. She is in her tenth year at Huguley.
