Huguley Memorial Medical Center Welcomes First Baby of 2012!
At 8:14 am on January 3, Huguley Memorial Medical Center welcomed Abram Quirino, the first baby born at Huguley in 2012.  Dr. Jason Neef delivered the 9 lb, 13 oz son of Alma and Alberto Quirino of Burleson.  Abram will be welcomed at home by four-year-old sister Jacklynne.

“With every baby we celebrate the gift of life, but the first baby of each year is especially fun,” said Ann Siden, R.N., Director of Women’s Services.  “It’s a little like winning the lottery for the mothers who are expecting around this time.”  Approximately 1000 babies are born at Huguley each year.

Besides taking home their bundle of joy, the Quirino family will also take home a special gift basket donated by the Huguley Volunteer Auxiliary for the first baby.  It includes stuffed animals, clothing items, a photo album and frame, a blanket, toys, diapers and personal care items.  National Bank of Texas donated a Visa gift card, and the Studio in Burleson will give the family a photography package. The proud parents will also receive a gift certificate provided by Huguley Fitness Center.
