Eight Huguley Memorial Medical Center volunteers attended the 2009 Texas Association of Hospital Volunteers state convention held June 5-7 in San Antonio, where they competed for awards and gathered ideas from speakers and attendees from other healthcare volunteer auxiliaries. Judy Hollis of Alvarado submitted a poster, which won first-place in the mid-sized hospital division. In pop-outs and pictures, the poster illustrates where donations were distributed at Huguley in the last year. The Huguley Volunteer Auxiliary also placed second in the newsletter competition, submitted by Shirley Algeo of Burleson. Patsy Easley of Burleson placed third for her tray favors.
