Huguley Fitness Center has installed 15-inch television screens on 35 of its cardiovascular machines, including treadmills, ellipticals, and stationery bicycles. The televisions carry all the local channels plus CNN and ESPN. Leave the remote at home, but bring headphones: members provide their own headphones, which plug in to the display with a universal jack.
“Whether our members want a boost on the bike or an escape on the elliptical, the personal television screens add a diversion to enhance their workout. Sometimes the cardiovascular machines can become a bit monotonous, so a choice of entertainment can rev up an exercise program,” said Teri Foreman, Huguley Fitness Center director.
Open to the community, Huguley Fitness Center offers activities and services for all age groups and levels of fitness. The exercise facility includes basketball and racquetball courts, indoor and outdoor tracks, a volleyball court, an aquatic center with two swimming pools and a jacuzzi, group exercise classes, free weights, cardio equipment, weight machines and a women’s only area.
