Eight Huguley volunteers attended the 2008 Texas Association of Hospital Volunteers state convention held June 8 – 10 in Austin, where they competed for awards and gathered ideas from speakers and attendees from other healthcare auxiliaries. Judy Hollis of Alvarado submitted a scrapbook, which won first-place in the mid-sized hospital division. In words and photos, the album captures a year of the Huguley Volunteer Auxiliary fundraising and service projects, meetings, special events and trips. The Huguley Volunteer Auxiliary also placed second in the poster competition and fourth in tray favors.
