Michael Darnell, M.D., has opened a surgical practice at Huguley Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Darnell has 16 years experience as a surgeon, with a primary focus in recent years in the area of breast disease and breast cancer.
Dr. Darnell earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas in Kansas City. He also completed a surgical residency at the University of Kansas. He spent 9 years in the United States Naval Reserve Medical Corps, achieving a rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Dr. Darnell is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
