Huguley Memorial Medical Center has promoted Kira Scapinelli to Emergency Department Registration Coordinator. She oversees the registration process for all emergency department patients, which includes verifying insurance benefits and eligibility, ensuring that patient data is current, accurate and complete, and providing timely and efficient customer service. Ms. Scapinelli supervises a staff of 22.
For the last two years, Ms. Scapinelli served as an admissions registration representative for Huguley. She joined Huguley six years ago as an emergency department registration representative.
“Kira brings knowledge and an ability to streamline processes and productivity to emergency department registration,” says Sheila Underwood, director of health access management for Huguley Memorial Medical Center.
A resident of Midlothian, Ms. Scapinelli studied general academics at Hill College.
