Executive Team


Pete Weber, President/CEO

 Pete Weber joined Huguley Memorial Medical Center in 1978 as an orderly, and his responsibilities increased with his education and experience. In his years at Huguley, he has served as a registered nurse, director of special services, vice president of ancillary and support services, senior vice president and chief clinical officer, and currently president and chief executive officer.

Prior to becoming Huguley’s president, Mr. Weber was the president and chief executive officer of Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos, and he remains president of the Southwest Region of Adventist Health System. He is the chairman of the board of Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos and Metroplex Hospital in Killeen. Mr. Weber also serves on the executive committee of the Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, the board of Southwestern Adventist University and boards of many health care organizations.

In addition to his degree from Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Mr. Weber has earned a B.S. in nursing from the University of Texas in Arlington and an M.B.A. from Amber University in Garland.
Mr. Weber was the 2006 Southwestern Adventist University alum of the year, and he was honored by Amber University in 2000. His other recognitions include the 2004 Adventist Health System Crystal Angel Award for his significant contributions to the Adventist healthcare mission.



Dan Enderson, Senior Vice President/CFO


Mr. Enderson is responsible for all financial areas of the medical center, including accounting, administration, patient financial services, materials management, information systems, managed care, and the legal and insurance departments. He also oversees the behavioral health center and Huguley Home Health. In his position, he serves as the chairman of the finance committees for the Adventist Health System hospitals in Texas: Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos, Metroplex Hospital in Killeen, and Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas.

Before joining Huguley in June 2003, Mr. Enderson had 12 years of experience in hospital finance. Previously, he served as the vice president of finance and corporate controller for Adventist Health System in Orlando, Florida. He has worked as the chief financial officer for Park Ridge Hospital in Fletcher, North Carolina and Gordon Hospital in Calhoun, Georgia.

Mr. Enderson earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University in Saint Louis, Missouri, and he holds a Bachelor’s degree in business from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.


Tammy Collier, R.N., CNAA, BC, Senior Vice President

Tammy Collier, RN, MSB, CNAA, BC, FACHE, joined Huguley in 1991 as the Director of Outpatient Services and Emergency Department. Excelling as a leader, Ms. Collier now has full responsibility for all areas of inpatient and outpatient clinical service, including patient care and safety, customer service, employee satisfaction, and physician relationships. Her responsibilities also include new service line development in areas of Critical Care, Surgery, Emergency Department, Outpatient Services, Women's Services, Community Services, Clinical Informatics and Pain Management, Utilization Review activities, Risk Management and legal review.

She is accountable for regulatory compliance for JCAHO, Department of State Health Services, HIPAA, CMS, and EMTALA. She is also responsible for AHS corporate initiatives in clinical informatics, clinical pathways, reducing medical variances, and clinical best practices.

Ms. Collier attained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Science in Business and Human Relations from Amber University in Garland. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders. Recognized as a Healthcare Hero recipient in February 2005, Ms. Collier is very active in community service and serves on several boards such as the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society.


   

Kent Tucker, Vice President


Kent Tucker earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in health science education from University of Florida’s College of Health and Human Performance. After three years as a teacher, athletic trainer and coach, Mr. Tucker became the fitness specialist at Medical Center Hospital of Punta Gorda, Florida. He was promoted to director of wellness and rehabilitation services for the hospital, and he also became actively involved with the Punta Gorda Kiwanis club, serving a term as president.

In 1993, Mr. Tucker joined Huguley Memorial Medical Center as the director of wellness and rehabilitation services. He also became an adjunct faculty member of Southwestern Adventist University, teaching fitness management, nutrition, golf and tennis. He currently serves as vice president of ancillary services, directing the lab, radiology, therapy services, occupational medicine, fitness center, community wellness, corporate compliance, facilities management, marketing, nutrition, and physician recruitment.

Mr. Tucker serves on University of Florida’s College of Health and Human Performance Advisory Council. He has been named distinguished alum of University of Florida.



Edward Laue, M.D., Chief Medical Officer


Edward Laue, M.D., serves as Huguley’s vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer. He is also president of Huguley Medical Associates, which owns several medical practices.

Dr. Laue's responsibilities include serving as a liaison between the hospital administration and the medical staff of more than 350 primary care and specialty physicians. He identifies potential improvements to patient care and safety and oversees current patient care and safety programs. As medical care continues to evolve, he evaluates and makes recommendations to enhance the hospital’s ability to meet the medical needs of the community.

Dr. Laue had an obstetrics and gynecology practice at the hospital for six years, and he has 18 years’ experience as a physician specializing in women’s health care. In his six years at Huguley, Dr. Laue was the chairman of the department of obstetrics and gynecology and served as the vice president of the medical staff. Prior to coming to Huguley he practiced in Chula Vista and National City, California for twelve years.

Dr. Laue completed his internship year and his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Glendale Adventist Medical Center in Glendale, California. He earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. He received a B.S. in biology from Southwestern Adventist University in Keene.
