Pediatric Services

At Huguley, we recognize the stress associated with having a child in the hospital. You can be assured that our team of physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, lab technicians, chaplains and social workers are focused on your whole family as we provide healthcare services to your child.

The team recognizes the importance of family involvement in your child's day-to-day activities, and we encourage active participation in your child's care. A parent or caregiver is welcomed to stay with the child during his or her hospitalization.

Our pediatric department, Unit 600, has 31 private rooms. A new pediatric suite is under construction and the unit has a playroom equipped with toys and video games. Procedures are performed in a special treatment room on the unit to ensure that children feel safe in their hospital rooms.

Our Unit 600 staff is highly trained in child growth and development, and maintains the special skills required for meeting the needs of your child. But, you will find that Unit 600 is more than a group of skilled professionals. It is a team of caring and compassionate individuals who focus on the child's and family's physical, social, psychological and spiritual needs.
